Suzanne’s School of Dance provides excellent tuition in all elements of the Performing Arts to students of all ages whether they are looking for a fun pastime or a career in the industry.
We now have nearly 300 pupils enrolled with us taking advantage of the wide range of classes taught by our dedicated team of qualified teachers. Principal Suzanne Ware trained under the late Joanne Marsden-Blackwell before becoming a professional dancer. She worked in Europe before returning to England to start the school which she has successfully run since 1993.
Suzanne now teaches our Jazz classes for younger children, adults, and continues to teach the baby ballet.
Students at the school have the opportunity to perform in our annual Dance Show at the Beck Theatre in Hayes which is always a lot of fun and trailers of which can be seen on our ‘Dance Show’ webpage above.
We hold regular, optional, RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) ballet and ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Tap exam sessions.
We also provide choreography through private tuition classes and support to students wishing to participate in festivals or audition for vocational schools. We have had endless achievements in various Dance Festivals, too many to list but which can be viewed via our ‘Posts page!
We have had several pupils accepted into the globally renowned ‘White lodge’ in Richmond Park which is home to the full-time Royal Ballet Lower School, as well as many others being accepted into the Royal Ballet Associate School held at weekends. We have also had pupils gain entry into Elmhurst Ballet School, a precursor for the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Our Musical Theatre/Drama Academy has had many pupils gain entry into the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts. Several students have performed in West End productions, including Les Miserables (Little Cosette and Gavroche), Phantom of the Opera (Meg), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Jemima and ensemble) and Mary Poppins (Jane and Michael Banks).
All classes are run from our purpose built mirrored studios which are accessed through our fully stocked dancewear shop, Suzanne’s Dance Supplies. We also have a waiting room where parents can sit and watch classes while having a free tea/coffee, although this is limited in size on a first come basis.
Please have a look at what we have to offer, and call us if you require any further information, or just come along to let your child try a class, initially on a pay as you go basis.
Please note that we follow as closely as possible the LB of Hillingdon school term dates, except for weekends which continue throughout half terms and the Easter holiday (not Xmas or Summer).
For further information please email Suzanne at ‘email@example.com‘ or phone our shop/studios on 01895 631858. Thank you.
We look forward to meeting you and remember our aim is to ensure all children no matter what level of ability enjoy themselves while learning and exercising.
