Our congratulations to Morgan Hartley (10yrs) who following auditions has been succesful in being given the role of Amanda in the West End musical production of Matilda.

Morgan has been with our School since the age of 2yrs taking classes in ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. She has also gained a place at London Junior Ballet which she has been attending for the last 2 years.

Very well done and good luck! We are looking forward to watching her perform.

We have fun dance and exercise classes to help you lose that little bit of weight and tone up for 2012.

Wednesday 8.30-9.30 Kettlecise. An exercise class using kettle weights to tone your whole body and get your cardio system working!

The Dance Show Spectacular DVD’s have arrived and are ready for your collection.

Please note we have limited extra copies of both the matinee and evening shows if anyone forgot to buy one. But please hurry these are limited to 15 of each! Price is £20.

We couldn’t get ours to work initially. It came up with a notice saying ‘Operation of this Disk currently prohibited on this machine’. However, it was us and not the DVD! I blame Suzanne naturally. However when we used the ‘Top menu’ button on our remote it worked. So, if yours doesn’t work it could be that button is needed or another similar one. Please let us know if you have this issue and are stuck.

Enjoy watching them over the Festive period – but please have sympathy for your Dad’s/Husbands! Give them something to do for a few hours – gardening perhaps or cooking.

Following the closure of our third studio please see the attached revised timetable, also located in our Home page section. We believe we can still offer the wide range of dance and performing arts classes as before, with any larger ballet classes having TWO teachers to maintain the quality of our teaching

Please note revision to Mondays timetable with new Grade 3 and Grade 6 ballet classes, 6.30 and 7.30 respectively, replacing Tap classes

We are very sad to announce that as from 16 November 2011 we have had to cease trading and undertaking dance classes in our recently opened third studio and adjoining shop.

We have been sub-letting this from the previous occupiers, Coral Bookmakers. However, due to sound complaints from the flat occupant above they have required us to cease trading, giving us no forewarning, and only 24 hours notice.

It is very upsetting to us, as we have made good progress in reducing the noise, utilising a sound specialist and spending £6k in doing so. We have also maintained regular comunication with the LA Environmental health officer, informing him of our works to reduce the sound with his support in this matter.

It appears that Coral Bookmakers may not have communicated with this officer and made their decision only on the emails of the flat occupant, as they have not attempted to communicate with us or visit on site.

The complaints increased in occurence recently and included other aspects such as the noise of our roller shutters, and parents/pupils in the school (!), such that we did not feel that any amount of money would reduce the noise to the complete silence that we felt would be necessary to stop further complaints to Coral Bookmakers. 

However, we shall survive and still be able to supply the various classes that you desire in our original two studios. We have already contacted a vast number of you to discuss alternatives, and we have also reformatted our timetable which will  be posted on this site tomorrow.

So, our apologies to those who attended classes in our new studio, we shall accommodate you elsewhere. Also, please be mindful how very upsetting this is to our daughters, especially Rachel who so loved to teach ballet in the new studio – we shall raise the original studios to match that standard!

Please see our spring term 2012 invoice page as these are now due to secure your child’s place in their class(s). If paid prior to the start of next term you will also receive a 10% discount.

In line with other local dance schools we do require that parents sign up on a termly basis, with the exception of pre-school classes, such as baby ballet etc.
