Our Performing Arts Academy has a range of classes for children aged from 2 years upwards.
These classes have been designed to give our pupils the optimum skill levels required across the whole range of disciplines in order to pursue theatre/acting work, working in close liaison with our Agency.
The classes will also improve children’s confidence in groups, and their learning skills, as lyrics, scripts are often learnt, and the LAMDA syllabus is available to provide children with a recognised qualification.
We also have the full range of dance classes available for your child to enhance the various Performing Arts disciplines.
Our Academy is linked to the BARBARA SPEAKE AGENCY which was established in West London in 1961 and is now under the direction of Ms June Bilham who has extensive contacts across the Performance Industry.
The Agency provides children/young adults from 3.5 – 16.5 years of age for Theatre, Film, TV, Modelling, Voice-over’s, Commercial’s and has a very successful history providing performers in recent times for Lion King, Oliver, as well as The Bill, Eastenders, Holby City, and Horrid Henry to name a few.
We have been involved in their success for 10 years having had many pUpils from our Academy being used in productions such as: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Les Miserables, Billy Elliott, Mary Poppins, and more recently Matilda.
Ms Bilham attends various classes of ours on a regular basis to assess pupils who may have the potential for performance work, and will then promote and guide them through the audition process.
If chosen for work the Agency provides all pupils with fully licensed (CRB checked), experienced chaperones, with all Performing licenses, Schooling and Local Authority issues dealt with.
If your child is interested in pursuing theatre/acting work, whether on stage, or TV, or simply for fun while gaining the benefits mentioned above please call us on 01895 631858, or pop into our shop for further details or to sign up.
