Stage (Musical Theatre) and Performing Arts School Ruislip

Every year our ‘Musical Theatre’, ‘LAMDA’, ‘Sing-Dance-Act’, ‘Vocal Training/Singing’, and ‘Drama’ classes perform in our Annual Dance Show at the Beck Theatre, Hayes.  These performances can range from 5-15 minutes on stage. Below is a snapshot of performances from our 2018 Show.

We welcome beginners, and newcomers of any ability, whether you want to perform in the Show or just do our classes for fun, learning, and confidence.

It is not a requirement that you have to do the Show.

Stage Performing Arts Timetable 30 March 2017

Our Stage Drama School (Musical Theatre) has a range of classes for children aged from 2 years upwards.

These classes have been designed to give our pupils the optimum skill levels required across the whole range of disciplines in order to pursue theatre/acting work. The classes will also improve children’s confidence in groups, and their learning skills, as lyrics, scripts are often learnt, and the LAMDA syllabus is available to provide children with a recognised qualification. For those that don’t know LAMDA stands for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
These classes are designed to improve children’s elocution, articulation, acting and performance in order to give them the skills and confidence to succeed in life. Our teachers are professionally trained to coach children in these skill sets which culminates in globally, OFQUAL recognised examinations. These examinations at Level 3 are also included in the current UCAS tariff, with a Grade 6 Diploma currently being 40 points.

We also have the full range of dance classes available for your child to enhance the various Performing Arts disciplines.

We have had many pupils in recent times gain places in various roles in West End musicals such as Les Miserables, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliott, Sound of Music, Matilda, and Phantom of the Opera. We have also had pupils undertake voiceovers, and commercials.

Our pupils have also been successful in gaining places at the following: Laine Theatre Arts, Sylvia Young, Tring Park, Millenium, Bird College, Urdang, Arts Ed Chiswick, and London Studio Centre

If your child is interested in pursuing theatre/acting work, whether on stage, or TV, or simply for fun while gaining the benefits mentioned above please call us on 01895 631858 or email Suzanne on ‘suzanneware@sky.com’. Alternatively pop into our shop for further details and to sign up.

Please note age ranges are a guide and not strictly enforced, as it depends on the child’s ability, so please feel free to discuss any class with members of staff.
