Sophie Ware

As Suzanne’s eldest daughter, Sophie has been dancing since the age of 2 and has been involved with the school for as long as she can remember! She achieved her RAD Advanced 2 at 17 and was pre-senior at the Central School of Ballet for 3 years. Sophie has qualified as a finalist in the All England Dance Festivals on several occasions and counts her greatest moment as dancing the part of Columbine in the Nutcracker for Anna Dubossin. She is currently undertaking her RAD teacher’s qualification and will be taking up a place at Laine Theatre Arts later in year.

Hayley Taylor

Hayley began dancing locally at the age of 8 and soon began supplementing her classes by attending the London Junior Ballet at weekends. At 16 she was awarded a full scholarship for the London Studio Centre. Hayley toured the country with ‘Images of Dance’ before embarking on her teacher training with the RAD. Now fully qualified, Hayley teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz and Pilates here at Suzanne’s and is also regularly invited back to teach at London Studio Centre.

Sarah Hewitt

In addition to attending classes at a local dance school, Sarah also trained with the London Junior Ballet and the Royal Ballet Senior Associates, and took courses with the English National Ballet. She continued her training at the Arts Educational School in Tring where she gained her Teaching Associates qualification in ISTD Modern and Cecchetti Ballet as well as a diploma in dance. Sarah then attended London Studio Centre for a year before enrolling on the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies course which she completed in 2006.

Lauren Stroud

Lauren has appeared in the West End in various major roles including Little Cosette in Les Miserables, Jemima in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Annie in Annie. She sang with Michael Ball on ITV’s Royal Variety Awards and was one of the Von Trapp family for the BBC’s Sound of Music tribute hosted by Graham Norton. She has also performed at the Royal Albert Hall and at the Royal Festival Hall as a soloist singer. Lauren is now sharing her experience with pupils in her popular musical theatre classes and is also currently studying at Laine Theatre Arts.

Jo Roberts

One of Jo’s earliest memories is of learning to dance. She studied all styles of dance but enjoyed the modern style most of all. at 19 she joined a dance troupe called ‘The Movement Academy’ which was sponsored by Nike and performed all over the UK, including several TV appearances. Jo began teaching after leaving the group and now teaches streetdance for 5 – 10 year olds. She thoroughly enjoys teaching her little streetdancers and watching them grow into confident young performers.

Jennifer Lissar

Originally from Australia, Jennifer has over 20 years experience in the dance industry and has choreographed and performed her routines all over the world. She has a university degree in dance and has studied at several leading dance schools in both Australia and the UK. Jennifer has had the pleasure of teaching ages 5 to 70 for over 15 years. Although trained in various genres, her forte is in streetdance and styles befitting the modern music industry, specifically choreographing for dance shows and music videos.

Helen Locke-Williams

Helen worked as a writer for Mother & Baby magazine for many years before deciding on a change of career. She started her own playgroup where she ran a toddler dance class and went on to qualify as a secondary school teacher. She now combines her love of ballet with her valuable expertise on babies and children to teach our up and coming Baby Ballet, 4 year olds and Rising 5s.

Penny Lane

Penny has a vast experience in show business and the music industry and has appeared a major worldwide venues working with Cliff Richard, Johnny Mathis and Tony Bennett. Her TV credits include series with Terry Wogan and various other TV shows and BBC specials. Her tremendously popular stage show enjoyed a very successful season at The London Palladium as well as appearances at Royal Gala performances. Penny is also a talented song-writer and has co-written with Billy Ocean as well as having several of her compositions recorded by artists such as Gloria Gaynor and The Three Degrees. She now teaches singing to students at Suzanne’s, many of whom have gone on to appear in the West End.

Caroline Dillamore

Caroline trained alongside Suzanne under the late Joanne Marsden-Blackwell. She went on to The Royal Ballet Upper School as a dancer, after which she joined a dance company. Touring with the company enabled her to travel extensively before returning home and establishing herself as a teacher. She has taught here at Suzanne’s for many years and continues to be very popular with students.

Zarina Furmenger

Zarina has been dancing since the age of 4 and took her first teaching position at 16. She attended Pineapple Dance Studios in London and iDance in Watford before joining a dance troupe called Identity. Through Identity, Zarina perfomed at Sadlers Wells, The Apollo (Hammersmith) and the London Palladium. She joined Suzanne’s in 2007 and now teaches our hugely popular teenage streetdance classes.

Laura Beard

Having been trained right here at Suzanne’s from a young age, Laura has a real love for dance is currently training for her vocational dance exams. She now works as a freelance streetdance teacher and teaches our Wednesday night adult street class.

 

Alex Bootman

Alex began her professional dance training at the Arts Educational School Tring Park at the age of ten, where she acquired her ISTD teaching qualifications in Modern and Tap, alongside a number of other vocational and academic qualifications.  After graduating from Tring at 18 Alex furthered her training at London Studio Centre. Recently Alex has completed the RAD’s BA(hons) in Dance Education, additionally acquiring a teaching qualification from the RAD. She now teaches our popular Monday tap classes in addition to teaching at three other schools across South West London and Middlesex.

Hannah Dillamore

Hannah has been dancing at Suzanne’s since the age of 5 and is thrilled to become a teacher at the dancing school she has been closely involved with for so long. Hannah has been involved with several amateur productions including Fame, Bugsy Malone, Bye Bye Birdie and The Sound of Music, she has also been in involved with several productions for charity with the local youth theatre group TODYS which she always thoroughly enjoys. She has also recently been a voiceover for E.A games new Harry Potter and the half blood prince. Hannah is currently studying Dance and Performing arts and hopes to take this further to degree level.

Katie Thorpe

As a Licentiate of Lamda, Katie has taught the LAMDA syllabus for over 20 years having begun her career while still at school, teaching for her teacher Joan Barnes. Having achieved her Gold Medal in both Speech and Acting and participated regularly in local festivals and productions she took her diplomas in Acting and Teaching in 1993 and 1995 respectively. She began the Lamda classes at Godstowe School as well teaching occasional summer school projects and now teaches full time on a free-lance basis both privately and at Wycombe Abbey School. Her interest in the vast subject of Drama is wide and her experience in teaching encompasses all ages and aspects. She is a member of the Voice Care Network and the Regional Representative for the Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama, Katie organised and ran the Society’s 2007 annual national conference.

Bradley Cook

At the age of 13 Bradley successfully auditioned for a professional porgramme called ‘London Talent’ and was one of a handful to be awarded a scholarship. Bradley attended Bishopshalt Sixth Form where he played the elad in ‘Back to the 80s’ and ‘Bye Bye Birdie’. His other achievements have been lead roles in The Beck Theatre Summer Youth Projects ‘Annie’, ‘Fame’ and ‘West Side Story’, and he played Chad in Songtime’s production of ‘High School Musical’. Bradley now belongs to a dance squad and has competed all over the world. He recently joined us to teach our popular Thursday Streetdance classes.

 

Tiffany Hendriks

Tiffany trained at London Studio Centre and finished her training touring the UK with the Jazz Dance Company. Thereafter she performed with the Nu Tempo contemporary dance company in and around London and also on Top of he Pops and CDUK with Zoonation. She has danced, taught and choreographed in Greece and Italy and is now teaching in schools in London and performing with the Just Dance Company. Tiffany teaches our Monday and Wednesday Jazz classes.
